On November 14, 2014, the North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, Sharon Decker, visited Duotech while in the Franklin area. She was joined by the Chairman of Macon County Commissioners, Kevin Corbin, and Economic Development Director of Macon County, Tommy Jenkins.
Duotech President, Dan Rogers, shared with Secretary Decker that Duotech has been located in Franklin, NC since 1987 and is rapidly growing. He noted that even with the small town atmosphere, Duotech is easily able to interact with both domestic and international customers through efficient logistics and convenient access to the Macon County Airport. Because Franklin is centrally located among several urban hubs, Duotech’s engineers can readily meet with clients worldwide.
Brett and Daniel Rogers led the tour through the various labs while discussing the growth of the company and how the facility footprint has changed over the past 28 years. Brett and Daniel briefly described some of Duotech’s previous projects that helped grow the company over the last thirty-two years and how they expect to expand further due to a rapidly growing international demand for Duotech’s specialized engineering capabilities.
Secretary Decker also enjoyed an overview of the Machining and Fabrication facility. This state-of-the-art lab is equipped to facilitate rapid, effective design, prototyping, and production of a wide variety of components, from control knobs to radar arrays. In this photo, Rich Peoples, a Mechanical Engineer at Duotech, demonstrates the unique capabilities of the GR 510 Gantry Router.
