In demanding military and aerospace missions, equipment reliability isn’t just a goal—it’s a necessity. Every second of downtime can impact mission success. That’s why Line-Replaceable Units (LRUs) play such a critical role. These modular components are engineered to be swapped quickly in the field to restore operational capability.

In aviation, the “black box” is one of the most crucial pieces of equipment for post-incident analysis. Officially known as a flight recorder, the black box consists of two parts: the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR). Together, these components preserve invaluable data about flight operations and crew communications.

Duotech Services, LLC. (DSL) formally announces a contract award from Raytheon to produce automated test equipment (ATE) for the depot level test and repair of components in the Patriot platform out of its facility located in Franklin, NC. Under this agreement, DSL will provide mission critical ATE to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Patriot platform. DSL will utilize a derivative of the Advanced Reconfigurable Test and Emulation System (or "ARTES") product, a rapidly tailorable, user-optimized ATE product currently supporting many defense customers and platforms around the world.

Duotech Services, LLC., a Bernhard Capital Partners portfolio company under its ARENA government services platform, formally announces the opening of an additional business location in Huntsville, AL, which is expected to be fully operational in early 2026. The state-of-the-art facility will be 25,000 square feet, located near Research Park. It is expected to host many of the same electronics depot capabilities that currently exist at the core of company headquarters in Franklin, NC, including test, repair, remanufacture, and engineering services. Since 1982, our customers have relied upon Duotech to support sustainment operations for major defense platforms around the world. Duotech's expansion to Huntsville, AL, a key defense technology hub with global reach, is expected to generate ~$3,000,000 of local economic impact and create ~50 new jobs over the next 5 years.

Across the defense industry, radar systems remain vital for surveillance, navigation, and mission success. Many of these systems, however, are aging and require revitalization to maintain performance. Traditional sustainment practices, based on scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs, often lead to downtime, higher costs, and uncertainty in mission readiness.

Duotech Services, LLC. (DSL) formally announces a multimillion-dollar contract award to commence build-up of a depot level test and repair capability for the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) platform. The initial phase will involve designing and developing a custom automated test equipment (ATE) solution for the test and repair of unit assemblies and circuit card assemblies (CCA) supporting global sustainment operations across the fleet of this mission-critical defense platform. The planned DSL solution is a derivative of the Advanced Reconfigurable Test and Emulation System (or "ARTES") product, a rapidly tailorable, user-optimized ATE product currently supporting many defense customers and platforms around the world. The overall program will drive significant DSL expansion initiatives going forward and is expected to encompass continued test and sustainment operations for many different ESSM articles in the years ahead.

Developing advanced airborne electronics systems—such as RADAR, RWRs, or electronic warfare sensors—requires more than lab simulations and theoretical modeling. These technologies demand real-world, airborne testing to validate performance, identify anomalies, and optimize system integration. However, access to airborne platforms is often expensive, difficult to schedule, and outside the control of the development team. These barriers lead to increased costs, delayed timelines, and substantial program risk. At Duotech Services, we’ve recognized this gap, and we’ve built a solution.
