Description
A Lead Digital Hardware Engineer at Duotech plays a crucial role in the design, validation, implementation and integration of high-end computing and signal processing circuit cards for advanced airborne radars and electronic warfare counter measure systems. The position will incorporate advanced work with the latest processors, FPGAs, memories, converters and RFSOC components, and requires taking ownership of digital circuit card designs, that meet mission specific Size, Weight, Power, Cost (SWAP-C) constraints, from concept through production. The lead Digital Hardware Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team of hardware, FPGA, systems, and software engineers creating innovative products that meet the demands of our clients in digital design.
Position Description:
Design and develop digital circuit cards with FPGAs (Xilinx, Intel, Microchip), novel processors, high-speed memory, data links, and high-bandwidth converters
Design and schematic capture of custom digital circuit boards
Perform board-level and system-level integration and test of new designs
Support transition of boards and systems to production
Develop test and debug logic for FPGAs (VHDL, Verilog, Python, etc.)
Keep up to date with the latest hardware development tools, technologies, and methods
Generate quick turn prototypes to de-risk key functionality and to support customer demos
Position Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience in digital hardware design and development or related experienceProficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium)
Understanding of real-time compute and signal processing hardware solutions
Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temp chambers, shield rooms, etc.) and basic soldering skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication skills
Experience with high-speed interfaces, e.g. JESD204 or PCIeMust be U.S. citizen
Position Desired Skills:
Experience developing control and signal processing algorithms in FPGAs
Experience interfacing with RF System on Chip design
Experience with SPICE and Signal Integrity board level simulations

Duotech seeks an electronics engineer with demonstrated hardware engineering experience to design and develop tests for military electronics systems. PCB layout skill will be heavily utilized in this position. These include analog, digital, mixed-signal and RF systems. Expected travel is less than 5%.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
No special certificates, licenses, or registrations are required. However, the individual will be required to pass certifications relative to the job. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual must be capable of carrying equipment up to 30 pounds for reasonable distances, electrical test equipment and environmental test equipment, to be able to type on a computer keyboard and to use a computer mouse or other suitable pointing device and to travel in automobiles or common air carriers for travel purposes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The primary work environment shall be in an office, and manufacturing floor. The individual may be required to travel both within the US and throughout the world, and may be subject to a wide variety of work environments, to include travel to areas that are desert, tropical, mountainous, etc.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
The individual may be required to apply for, and receive, a security clearance issued by the United States Department of Defense. Employment, therefore, may be subject to obtaining and maintaining a clearance with United States Government.

Duotech is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to be a key contributor in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and implementation for Radar systems. The candidate will work with RF hardware and systems/software teams to implement modes in an existing platform.
Job Scope
This position will involve development and implementation algorithms and advanced digital signal processing techniques for phased array radar, including digital waveform generation, digital receiver, etc. The work requires knowledge of radar theory and principles. An understanding of the radar design, development, and implementation process is necessary. The candidate will be expected to perform technical activities associated with radar timing and waveforms, signal and data processing techniques, implementation, testing, and verification of embedded system drivers and algorithms in C/C++, VHDL, and Matlab Coder tools.
Requirements
B.S.E.E or better Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineer with 5+ years of experience with DSP development
Ability to obtain a DoD Security clearanceExperience with sampling theory, DSP filter design, digital receivers, decimation, matched filtering, sampling theory, etc.
Proficiency/experience in C/C++ programming language for real time systems
Understanding of hardware architecture and hardware/software interaction.
Experience doing multi-thread application development on Linux
Digital signal processing including MTI, Pulse-Doppler, Monopulse, Imaging, & adaptive techniques, CFARs, Clutter Maps, timing issues.
Electronically scanned array and beamformer development
Basic working knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators

Positions entail the repair, troubleshooting, and characterization of RF systems. The products involved will be for military applications such as RADAR and IFF. Requirements include knowledge and experience in wireless communication systems, RF measurement (linear, non-linear, small signal and large signal), tuning (assembly and rework) and environmental test (ESD, lifetime, etc.).
