During Women’s History Month in March, the United States Army and Air Force teamed up to celebrate the women of the U.S. military. This was achieved with an all-female flight and airdrop on March 17, 2021.

The all-woman C-17 Globemaster III aircrews were with the 315th and 437th Airlift Wings located at Joint Base Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Women parachutists from the 82nd Airborne based in North Carolina at Fort Bragg loaded the aircraft at Pope Army Airfield.
