Memorial Day weekend is referred to as the beginning of Summer; enjoying camping trips, attending concerts, having family picnics, going to baseball games, and heading to the beach. Often we are caught up in this first long weekend of summer to the point we forget what Memorial Day actually means, remembering the sacrifice of life so many veterans gave protecting the freedoms we as a nation hold so dearly.
