At Duotech we also utilize additive manufacturing, also known as 3D Printing, as a tool during repairs to shorten turnaround time to our customers. 3D Printing gives us the ability when necessary to produce our own small replaceable components based on the OEM requirements.
For example, we may need to replace a single missing knob that is no longer produced by the OEM. We may be able to order 150 of these knobs from a manufacturer but we only need one. Our 3D printer is an important tool that allows Duotech to create the one replacement knob we need thus getting the repaired communication electronics, avionics, or fire control radar line replaceable unit back to our customer much quicker and under budget.
