It is the requirement of every engineer, and the burden of those that are not engineers. Why do engineers have a bad reputation when it comes to communication?
If the information is not digestible to your audience, the transmitted information was not successfully received. Claud Shannon would be horrified! Get your information across the channel, and make sure that it is meaningful. For those that are not engineers, understand that engineers tend to tell you the why with precisely what makes the why possible.
